About MeI have a master’s degree in health psychology awarded by Queen Margaret's University in Edinburgh. During my tenure in University I worked for the both the NHS in general and psychiatric hospitals. I provided support for patients with both physical and psychiatric illnesses. This experience helped me to gain an insight into the human reality of the theoretical topics I was studying and ignited my passion for the support services. I believe it is important to have both practical and academic knowledge, which then allows me to be of greater assistance to clients. For the last fifteen years I have supported clients with a range of complex needs, in both my therapy work and also whilst working in psychiatric, homeless and disability services. I bring to all my clients this depth of knowledge and experience; nevertheless each client is unique. My work with them is based on their individual requirements to ensure the best outcome. My knowledge and experience allows me to provide a service that is trustworthy, non-judgemental and dynamic, so that clients feel confident that they are in safe, professional hands. I am passionate about my work and believe everyone has the ability to heal and live the life they desire. It is rewarding for me to see my clients leave our sessions with a new sense of strength and self-belief. |
